This is me with my mum, Val. Mum was my first friend, my best friend, and my friend forever. The person with my best interest at heart and who would always be the one I could talk to and depend on.
My mother was my rock and supported me through the not so forgiving journey of becoming a surgeon, as well as all the other side paths I took along the way. She made me resilient but not arrogant in the position I hold today.
My mum moulded me into the person I am today by teaching me the values of helping others and to just accept self-sacrifice made to achieve these goals.
I miss you mum.
